Grab turns to ads in search of new revenue streams (Singapore).The ride-hailing firm has launched a dedicated advertising arm named GrabAds. The service will tap into Grab’s extensive transportation fleet, trove of consumer data, and micro-entrepreneur network to help brands distribute their content throughout Southeast Asia.

GrabAds – which counts Pepsi, Dove,Bukalapak, Shopee, and Tokopedia among its clients – offers solutions in three categories: mobile billboards that can be placed on the outside of cars and other vehicles; in-app advertising; and in-car options such as digital displays, retail, and samples. Grab introduced in-car vending machines in partnership with US startup Cargo in June. (Grab)
